Straight blade
The complete line of NEMA straight blade components is available from Hubbell. These are the standard types used in domestic and commercial installations in the U.S.A. and in installations throughout the world that employ U.S.A. specification equipment. Ideally suited for used in homes, hotels and office complexes many of the devices are available in both "specification" and "commercial" grades, also in "heavy" and "standard" constructions, ensuring compatibility in all locations.
Plugs and connectors are available in "valise" construction. The one-piece moulding opens to allow unrestricted access for speedy wiring.
Conventional construction types are also available.

| Hubbellock
The heavy duty construction of the "Hubbellock" series makes them the ideal choice for hostile environments, such as locations where physical abuse or damp are involved. The device is fully shuttered ensuring no access to live parts. THe "Twist-Lock" feature is also utilised which prevents accidental removal of the plug.
Correct mating is assured by the "key and keyway" method. The earth contact engages in advance of the live contacts ensuring that the earth (ground) circuit makes first and breaks last.
Industrial and weatherproof types are available.

Twist-Lock
The outstanding "twist-to-lock" safety feature makes this range invaluable for connecting mobile equipement to mains supplies. When the plug is inserted in the socket outlet and twisted clockwise, specially shaped blades are restrained behind the socket face. The plug cannot be accidentally pulled out or removed, and can only be released by twisting it anti-clockwise. Positive indents ensure the integrity of this "Twist-Lock" safety feature. Constructed by Hubbell from the best available materials, these products can be used and specified with confidence.
